Lin Price

Artist Biography:

Lin Price is a painter who resides in the Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York and works in an implied narrative style. She received her BFA '90 from Ithaca College and an MFA '95 in painting from Bard College/Milton Avery Graduate School of the Arts, Annandale, New York.

Ms. Price's paintings and drawings have been exhibited at galleries and museums throughout the Northeast. Highlights of her exhibition record are: Munson Proctor Williams Art Institute/Museum, H.F. Johnson Museum of Art/Cornell University, Handwerker Gallery/Ithaca College, Memorial Art Gallery in Rochester, NY, Berkshire Museum in Pittsfield, MA, and solo exhibitions at the Hartell Gallery/Cornell University, Main Street Gallery in Groton, NY, and Houghton Gallery, Corning, NY (upcoming).

Ms. Price has been the recipient of the Elaine DeKooning Memorial Award for painting (Bard College), Cornell Council on the Arts Grant, NYFA/SOS award, and a residency at the Saltonstall Foundation.

Publications featuring her work include: The Stone Canoe#2/ annual art journal at Syracuse University and Creative Quarterly #13, Journal of Art and Design (upcoming).

Lin Price teaches painting and drawing at Ithaca College and her work is in the collection of the Munson Williams Proctor Art Institute and in numerous private collections.
